There are 4 groups of patients who use or may need to use CPAP therapy:
- Patients diagnosed with sleep apnea and are already using a CPAP machine. If you are in this group, you should bring your CPAP machine to the hospital to use after your surgical procedure.
- Patients diagnosed with sleep apnea but are non-compliant with CPAP therapy, meaning that they don't have a CPAP machine or don't want to use their CPAP machine.
- Patients diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and do not need CPAP treatment.
- Patients with suspected sleep apnea.
